ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Minimum qualification: A passed in secondary school examination under (10th pass) scheme or equivalent examination with any stream for one year courses in COPA.

Age limit: The candidate should have attained 14 years of age on 01 August of the year of admission.

Fitness: The candidate should be physically and mentally fit for training and should meet physical standards prescribed by the directorate of technical education.Each admitted trainee will have to undergo for medical checkup by the prescribed doctor after the start of the session. If found unfit, his admission will be cancelled.

PROCEDURE

  1. Admissions are made in the month of July/Aug every year. Exact dates are fixed in accordance with the Directorate of Technical education, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and are mentioned on application form.
  2. A candidate seeking admission should be registered himself by 'applying Online' or submitting 'Registration-cum-admission form attached with brochure available in the institute by paying specified cost along with attested xerox copies of:
    • High school / Secondary / matric certificate or T.C. as proof of age.
    • Marks sheet of qualifying examination and also of higher examination if any.
    • Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.
    • Document from competent authority in support of candidates claim for seat in a reserve category, if applicable.
    • Transfer certificate from the Institute last attached.
    • Character certificate from the head of institute last studied.
  3. All the Registration cum-admission forms submitted on or before the last date (up to 5.00 p.m.) will be scrutinized by the admission committee. Eligible candidates whose forms will be found in order will only be considered for admission. Admission will be made as per prescribed norms however; intimation for rejection will not be possible.
  4. Admission will be granted on merit basis. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in qualified examination. Out of the eligible candidates a substantial number of candidates in order of merit will be called for interview. The call letter will be sent under certificate of posting.
  5. Selected candidates must deposit fees on the same day up to 3 p.m. failing which the name of candidate will be rejected and the seat will be offered to the next candidate in merit list. FEES ONCE PAID SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
  6. Reservation for different categories will be as per state govt. /DGET norms.

PRIORTY

  1. First priority will be given to the candidates who are bonafied resident of Kanpur District.
  2. Second priority will be given to the candidates who are bonafied resident of other district of Uttar Pradesh.
  3. Third priority will be given to the candidates from other states.

ATTENDANCE & EVALUATION

ATTENDANCE

  1. Institute strictly insists upon the regularity and punctuality.
  2. There is no summer or winter vacation. Each trainee will be allowed 12 Casual Leaves and 15 Medical Leaves only. Application for Leaves should be countersigned by parents and medical leaves must be supported by a medical certificate issued by a duly qualified registered medical practitioner.
  3. In addition to their leaves, the trainees will also be allowed to avail all the holidays of State Government (Subject to office order issued by this office.) and each second Saturday of the month.
  4. Absent without authorized leave is viewed very seriously.
  5. Every trainee will have to secure minimum 80 percent of attendance to enable him to appear in Board's examinations. Such candidates whose attendance falls short of the prescribed minimum, will not be permitted to appear in Board examinations even if his examination form has already been forwarded by the institute. The trainee must have to complete the required training hours prescribed by the Directorate of the Technical Education. If there is any loss of training due to any reason, it must be completed in extra hours. If a trainee fails to complete the losses in extra hours, it has to be completed with the next batch.
  6. The institute runs in two shifts. Every trainee will have to reach Institute in time. Late comers will be treated as 'absent'.
  7. If a trainee remains absent for 10 days without any permission, he will be declared as 'Absconder' and his name will be struck off from the rolls. Re-admission of such trainees will be sole descretion of the Principal.
  8. It is obligatory for every trainee to attend all special/extra/remedial classes arranged from time to time, as also all functions arranged/organized by the institute. Absent from such class/function will be treated severely.

EXAMINATIONS/EVALUATION/TEST

  1. Internal assessment is done by the Institute cumulatively on the basis of test, assignments lab/workshop record, spread over the entire session, both for theory as well as practical works.
  2. Every trainee must take all such tests and must complete all assignments, theoretical as well as practical. Failure to appear at any test or to submit any assignment on time will result in proportionate reduction in marks.
  3. Progress report after each test is sent to the parents of every trainee in each month. They are required to take a close look on it and follow the advice proposed by the Institute.
  4. After Successful completion of One Year/ Two years. Training, final examination will be conducted by Board of Technical Education, Lucknow, UP under N.C.V.T. (Govt. of India) and passed out trainees will be awarded certificates by National Council of Vocational Training, New Delhi duly recognised by Govt. of India and all States Govts.

OTHER OBLIGATORY RULES

  1. Training in I.T.I. needs a lot of physical labour, involving 8 hours work everyday. Every aspirant of admission should make up his mind for this before applying.
  2. Every trainee will have to compulsorily wear prescribed uniform. The prescribed uniform is as under: Summer Steel Grey pants, Light Blue shirts (Half sleeve), Black leather shoes with lace, Dark blue socks, and Black belt. Winter Steel Grey pants, Light Blue shirts (full sleeve), Black Shoes with lace, dark blue socks, Black belt and steel Grey sweater or pullover (Simple 'V' necked). Although, it is not compulsory to wear cotton clothes but it is advisable that cotton clothes suits better. Wearing of unauthorized dress, chappels and sandles are strictly prohibited.
  3. The institute expects a high degree of discipline, it is, therefore, compulsory for every trainee to maintain perfect discipline.
  4. Hostel facility is not available at present. All the admitted candidates will therefore have to make their own arrangements of boarding and lodging.
  5. If a trainee, once admitted, wants to withdraw at any stage during his course of training for any reason, which can convince the Principle and management, he may be permitted to do subject to paying full fee for the sessional.
  6. Once a candidate has been admitted his transfer to another I.T.I. will not be permitted.
  7. A trainee once admitted will not be permitted to undertake any type of out side study or examinations.
  8. A trainee will be allotted the trades according to his preference as possible; however, he may have the option at the time of 'applying on line' and interview. Once admitted, Change of trade will not be allowed.
  9. The admission will be cancelled at any stage if it is found that the facts provided by the candidates are false.
  10. The Institute will struck of the name of trainee from the roll of institute in the following cases:
    • Indiscipline,
    • Misconduct,
    • Disorderly behavior,
    • Serious breach of the institute's rule,
    • Participating/Instigating strike
    • Willful damage of institute's property,
    • Cheating in test/Examinations,
    • Unsatisfactory performance in training,
    • Unsatisfactory attendance,
    • Sabotages the prestige of institute, staff or management & Failure in depositing the fees timely.
  11. For the smooth functioning of the Institute no visitors are allowed to contact any trainee during training period with out the prior permission of the Supdt. /Principal.
  12. Any trainee will not be called from the class to attend any phone call unless authority thinks it very urgent.
